Could you tell us who you are, where you’re from and give us a little description about yourself?

Hey! I’m Samantha, but most of my friends call me Samy or Sam. My birthday is on October. I’m a teenager from Ecuador who loves dancing, drawing and listening to music. I consider myself a happy and shy person with big dreams and goals to reach. I always try to give the best version of myself, no matter what, I’ll always try my best and put passion on it.

So how long are you a K-pop fan and how did you get introduced?

I started listening to K-pop on 2011. My first song was “Heart to heart” from the group 4 Minute, but I wasn’t a big K-pop fan at the time. I just listened to a few songs of Hyuna or other groups haha. On 2016 a friend showed me “No more dream” from BTS and I really liked it, so I started to look up for more songs.

Why do you love K-pop and what makes it different compared to other genre’s?

K-pop is like a whole new world where you have several varieties, mixed emotions, rythms and the way most of the groups dance, that’s awesome and so satisfying to see!! I think that’s what makes K-pop different compared to other genres, leaving aside that it is a completely different culture. And for everything mentioned before I love K-pop.

If you make K-pop related content could you tell us what you do and why?

I make K-pop dance covers on my Instagram account, I also do some dance covers with other genres, sometimes I draw and post some pictures on my profile Highlights. I like drawing since I was 10 years old. I dance since I was a little girl. I always wanted to dance on school programs or family reunions and with the passing of time I’ve been improving. I think that showing the things I like to people is very inspiring for me and for those who look at me.

Could you tell us your top 5 K-pop groups (in no particular order):

BTS, NCT, Mamamoo, Stray Kids and Twice.

Out of those 5, if you had to pick a number 1, who would it be and why?

Hmmm, I think BTS, because with their songs I started getting inside the K-pop community. Some of their songs really touch your heart. The way they are with ARMY is also very special, their personalities and everything about them is something that I love very much.

Who’s your bias. Could you tell us your top 5 (in no particular order):

Jimin, Jeno, Hwasa, Hyunjin and Momo.

If you had to pick a number 1 bias, who would it be and why?

This one is hard! My number 1 bias would be between Jimin and Hyunjin, but maybe Jimin, because as I said before, BTS was the first group I stan. He also makes me follow my dreams and have hope, so maybe that’s why hahaha.

Imagine getting a wish granted, but it has to be K-pop related: could you tell us what your wish would be and why?

Ohh, I have a lot of ideas hahaha. Hmm, I would love to perform as a dancer in a concert or participate in a music video. It would also be great to do idol’s make up.

Let’s spread some love by giving a big shout out. Who would you like to give a shout out to and why?

I would like to give a shout out to my mother, she’s always there for me and she makes me be a better person. To my family who’s always supporting me and to my friends Tefa and Emy, they help me to improve and they are very important people in my life.

And last but not least: if you could change the world with just one positive message (it doesn’t have to be K-pop related), what would it be?

Just be yourself, do what you like and follow your dreams. Don’t lose your essence and don’t care what other say about you. Never give up, because with passion, hope and effort you can reach everything you want. 🙂 <3
